Chiropractic care is a natural, holistic, hands-on approach to healing the body. The focus of chiropractic care is the restoration of balance for the body, called homeostasis, and all of its systems via activation and utilization of the nervous system. The care begins with the treatment of the musculoskeletal system, which is the collection of the bones, tendons, muscles, and soft tissue of the body.
Chiropractic care is based on the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of misalignments within the musculoskeletal system which impinge and impair both the mobility and stability of the joints in the body as well as inhibiting the optimal functioning of the nervous system. By addressing these issues in the musculoskeletal system and nervous system, chiropractors help bring fluid functionality to the other systems of the body, including but not limited to: respiratory, digestive, and immune systems.
